Renbukan refers to group of professionals who are dedicated to achieving the original goals of the traditional Budo. This is a modern interpretation of traditional Japanese “shu, ha RI” (protect, breakthrough, departure). It is the goal of Renbukan Shotokan karate do, and the roots of o sensei Funakoshi,s teachings. Renbukan training begins with kihon (basics techniques. The training must adhere to learning correct kihon techniques, which is the foundation of Renbukan Shotokan karate do training (shu). The next step is to practice combinations of the kihon techniques through “kata” (form). Students then learn how to apply the kihon techniques through different levels of “kumite” (sparring) training. The sparring training system includes “ippon kumite (predetermined one technique sparring), sanbona and then gohon kumite, (ha),” jyuu ippon kumite (one step free sparring) through to jyuu kumite (free sparring) (RI). Trough this learning system, Renbukan students can achieve mastery of Shotokan Karate do. Renbukan goal is the vision of master gichin funakosi which is dedication to teachings students’ personal growth achieve harmony in their lives. This is the way of Renbukan Shotokan karate do, and it is most fundamental part of Shihan Arvind K Kotnala, purpose and meaning in life
Renbukan is a Non-Political nonprofit Karate Organization. Each Dojo affiliate directly with the Hanbu Dojo. The Reason for this is to eliminate political structures. Renbukan recognizes your current rank. However once you become a Renbukan affiliates you will Aviles all benefits of recognized karate do system and able to participate government approved tournaments, benefited by Government sports policies.

Renbukan Karate Do Association Of India Was Founded By Shihan Arvind K Kotnala In August 2003.
He born on February 6th 1978 in Guwahati district of Assam state of india. He is the 2nd child of shri sudarshan Prasad Kotnala and the Mrs. HulashI Kotnala (mother). he began his martial art training at the age of 6 in 1984 gujukai style of karate do in Bikaner district of Rajasthan state of india his father was in Indian army served as a junior Commissioned Officer ( Electronic and Mechanical Engineer). Then by sensei Ravi he served in Indian Army who was a shodan at that time he was very new but very enthusiastic young instructor sensei Kotnala trained with sensei Ravi until 1992. Then his father retired from india army and they went to his native land uttrakhand Dehradun. at that time he was 1st kyu, in 1994 he receive his Shodan and in 1996 Nidan from his Sensei between 96 to 2003 Sensei attend so many championships and score so many medals in National and International level, in 1999 Sensei found a master of Gojuryu Karate do he was 6th Dan at that time Sensei receive Sandan and valuable training from him and also in Shotokan style of karate do , in 2001 sensei Kotnala receive his Yondan under Rensei Asif of Shotokan Karate do along with these Sensei also taking training in other Martial Arts from highly reputed and respected Masters from Japan and USA. but after a long and traditional regrous traning in Shotokan Karate do he was unsatisfied with the recognition of his Organization and at that time Karate got recognition in ioc and in Indian Olympic Association he want to secure his students future and he want to join a recognized karate do style with the permission of his master he joined Renbukan Karate do under highly reputed and recognized Karate do master of USA Shihan J Randall Patterson chief instructor of Renbukan Karate do Association of USA and Sensei Melanie. S. Patterson President Renbukan Karate do USA. In august 2003 Shihan Arvind k Kotnala formally establish Renbukan Karate do in India, in 2008 Shihan Kotnala invite maestro Zaupa Founder of Renbukan Karate do in India. for training and grading. It was the land mark of history in Indian Renbukan that first time they trained under such a highly qualified and educated master, maestro Zaupa award Go Dan to Shihan Arvind k Kotnala.
In 29th oct 1998 Shihan Arvind k Kotnala opened his first karate do dojo of traditional martial arts academy in doon valley of uttrakhand state situated in the Himalayan ranges. Now Shihan is Godan in Renbukan Shotokan system of karate do by his hard work Renbukan karate do is actively working in uttrakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and in west Bengal. along with karate do Shihan imparting training in aikido and in kyshojutshu under the umbrella of Traditional Martial arts Academy
